Simply put, we are a group of Christians who desire to serve God in the manner in which He has asked to be served.
There is a greek word used in the New Testament to describe those first Christians who followed Jesus– Ekklesia. As used in the New Testament, ekklesia literally means “called out ones”. But called out by what? The Apostle Peter answers this question for us in 1 Peter 2:9. He states “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
This description tells exactly who we are- we’re people called out of the darkness of sin by the gospel message of Jesus Christ. It is our goal and desire to worship God by following the patterns established by those Christians who walked with Jesus in the first century. Likewise, it is our goal to share that gospel message with all people.
