The Pandemic of Sin

In my personal opinion the coronavirus isn’t something that we should make light of. It’s certainly better to err on the side of caution than to err on the side of indifference. I appreciate the idea of preparing for a potentiality life threatening situation. If you have or are, that within itself is not an indication that you lack trust in GOD. It simply means you are using the resources and mental capacities that He has given you to make wise decisions. Are there those who may be going to the extreme? Perhaps, perhaps not only time will tell.

That being said, there is another day coming that is certain, that day being the day that our LORD returns. (2nd Thessalonians 1:7-10)

There is a pandemic called sin. This world wide disease doesn’t only have the potential to cause mass destruction but inevitably will. The good news is, it doesn’t have to. The Gospel is, a man named Jesus came and provided the cure for this dreaded disease.

We cannot over prepare and we can rest assured that our preparation will not be in vain.

Sin separates man from GOD and all have sinned and fallen short of GOD’S glory. (Isaiah 59:1-2, Romans 3:23) At first glance it would seem as though there isn’t an option for reconciliation, however, with Jesus there is. God provided man with a means of reconciliation via the blood of Jesus.

Notice Romans 3:23-26
“ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”

Our sin was justly dealt with on the cross. This enabled God to declare me innocent even though I’m guiltily. “Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like!”

There is an antidote to the pandemic of sin; His name is Jesus!

Have we taken advantage of the cure?

Will we?

Now is the time to prepare!

Consider the following verses for further study: (Matthew 1:21, John 3:16-17, John 14:1-3, Acts 2:37-38, 1st Corinthians 15, 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18)
