It All Begins with God's Word

Without the Word of God to instruct us, we cannot know Him. Searching His word provides us important information like who God is, who we are, what God expects, how to live a quality life and so much more. You will notice that there are scripture references for everything we say and do.  That is because of our firm belief that God’s word is perfect, complete and authoritative.

His Word is Our Guiding Light

Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. –Psalm 119:105

A Welcome Message From the Bishops

Welcome to the University Church of Christ. It is our sincere hope and prayer that you feel welcome when you visit with us. You are our honored guest.

We are a group of ordinary and imperfect people who seek to serve a holy, almighty God. None of us know all there is to know about the Bible, but we strive to learn and grow daily.

If there is anything you see in our worship or on this website that causes questions to arise in your mind, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us, one of the deacons or our evangelist. A promise we can make to you is that you will never have to take our word for anything we do. We will happily show you the scripture reference (or references) that we use as authority for what we do.

We truly believe that the Christian life- one that seeks to be in harmony with God’s will- is the best life possible. The Christian is able to find peace where the majority of the world finds stress and anxiety. The Christian knows that a better home is waiting beyond this life.

Thank you, again for stopping by. We look forward to meeting you in person. May God bless you and our association with you.

David Hoover and Jody Angel are the elders of this congregation. Elders are also called Shepherds, Overseers, Bishops and Pastors in the New Testament.

Some Things We Learn From the Bible

Here are a handful of the things we learn by studying the Bible:

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3:16-17
